LIVE: Role of the Veterinarian in Food Animal Health

Live Edition: Animal Airwaves—Live is an hour-long call-in show that airs between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays on WUFT-FM in Gainesville. The show features faculty members from the UF Veterinary Hospitals who address a variety of topics relating to pet health care, including companion animals, exotic pets and horses.

What’s for dinner? If we are what we eat, when we’re healthy, that is in no small part due to the role of the veterinarian in safeguarding both animal and human health. Find out more about how veterinarians contribute to the safety of the food supply when Dr. Carlos Risco, a professor with UF’s Food Animal Medicine Service, shares his perspectives and experience in this important area.
