It’s just a little pinch

Even if your cat is a couch potato, certain vaccinations are necessary.

Vaccines are developed primarily to prevent viral infections. Some viruses last indefinitely in the environment and can be tracked in from outside, so even indoor cats can be at risk. Vaccination is even more important if your cat is allowed to go outside or spend time with other cats.

Core vaccines, like the F-V-R-C-P, which protects against two viruses, and the rabies vaccine, are recommended for every cat. That’s because of the severity of the diseases involved, their high rates of transmission, and the possibility of some viruses, like rabies, infecting people. Your veterinarian may also recommend additional vaccines, depending on your cat’s risk of exposure to other viruses.

The benefits of vaccination far outweigh the risks, so keep your kitty protected!
