Cats may be finicky eaters, but they’ll feast on plenty of foods — both good and bad for them. You might be surprised which is which.
Cooked tuna is a tasty treat on occasion, but a steady diet is nutritionally inadequate. Likewise, small amounts of cooked liver are fine, but too much can cause dangerously high vitamin A levels. And although cats and milk seemingly go together like bread and butter, most cats are lactose intolerant and milk causes tummy troubles. Fat trimmings can do the same thing.
And forget about feeding your kitty raw meat, fish or eggs. Not only can they cause food poisoning, but components of raw fish and egg whites might interfere with absorption of B vitamins or destroy them altogether.
Just because your cat is finicky doesn’t mean he’ll make the right choices. That’s up to you.
