Speaker: Dr. Alex Fox-Alvarez

We love our French and English bulldogs, pugs, Pekingese and Boston terriers, but because of their short noses and flat faces, they are prone to experience breathing problems. On this show, Dr. Alex Fox-Alvarez, a small animal surgery specialist, will discuss how veterinarians approach treatment of respiratory disease when it occurs in our smush-faced canine friends. He’ll talk about what’s involved in airway surgery when that approached is deemed the best treatment option, and what owners of these dogs should look for in the way of signs that might indicate their pet is experiencing breathing problems and needs veterinary care.
